Sarah & Ranbir got married at the Montreal courthouse and we did a glorious sunset photo session all on film to celebrate and commemorate their marriage. Glowing with spring wedding energy, it was a pleasure to capture their sweet dynamic at such a beautiful and lesser known photo taking location: the lookout walking path at the Pointe St. Charles Observatory.

In 2022, film became a major part of my workflow at weddings, when I discovered how film can make the best of strange or low lighting situations in ways that would require a lot of editing in digital. A huge part of this is that aside from each type of film having its own subtleties in its colour tones and character, film creates an image that is beautifully true to life.
For Michaila & Matt’s late spring evening wedding at the charming Cafe de l’horloge in Rigaud I used Kodak Gold 200 which really shines around 4pm to sunset transitioning to ilford 3200 for the evening.

What a treat to go shoot with Rob Malo films! As a Montreal wedding photographer it was lovely to head out north of Ottawa to shoot Gen & Geoff’s beautiful wedding at the stunning Le Belvedere.

Flourist is a traceable grain miller and bakery located in East Vancouver selling an assortment of high quality traceable grains, beans, milled flours, baked goods, and delicious vegetarian dishes (also great coffee and tea!).
For this shoot we used only natural lighting (except for the flatlay), as the shop gets wonderful natural light from the huge street level windows. The focus was on branding and product photography for their website and some holiday themed shots for newsletters and social media.

Good Omen is a quaint shop in the historical downtown neighbourhood of New Westminster, British Columbia. I had walked by Good Omen many times and marveled at the minimal landscape bursting with lush houseplants and rustic but elegant goodies, before asking the lovely owner Lia if she’d be interested in having some photos taken.
Upon entering Good Omen on a brisk November morning I was not disappointed! The bright morning glow cast halos around fuzzy cacti and reflected off of the crystals and handmade jewelry - no extra lighting required. Lia’s energy is warm and calming, in synergy with her store. At Good Omen you’ll find an assortment of household goods like candles and throw pillows (as pictured), jewelry and accessories, natural beauty/self care products, and tools needed for ritual such as crystals and Tarot - very Glinda the Good Witch vibes.
